Durian fruit Thai fruit, also know as the King of the fruits, has a thorn-covered husk, a distinctive smell and sweet custard-like flesh. Durian is mostly eaten ripe as fresh fruit but can also be cooked. The favorite varieties are Mon Thong, Chani, Kan Yao and Kradum thong. Because of its high energy and sulfur content, durian should not be eaten with alcohol. It’s recommened that having mangosteen after durian will lower the side-effects of durian’s high energy.
